Righi designed and implemented a complete solution for the automation of the crude oil withdrawal and storage process for a major oil operator in the United Arab Emirates. The project included the development of the control software and the realisation of the switchboards for the loading and unloading pump skids, integrated in a management system based on a Siemens S7-400HF (Fail Safe) redundant architecture.
This configuration guarantees high levels of flexibility and operational autonomy for each skid, supported by a communication network protected by industrial firewalls and managed through the PROFIsafe protocol, ensuring maximum security and reliability in data transmission between the intelligent controllers.
