Integrated solution for the safe, reliable and efficient operation of an LPG extraction and storage plant in a highly critical port environment
Righi designed and realised an integrated solution for the automation of the LPG extraction and storage plant in the industrial area of Salalah, Oman. The project involved the development of the control software and the construction of the switchboards for the loading and unloading pump skids, supported by a management system based on a Siemens S7-400HF (Fail Safe) redundant architecture.
This configuration ensures high levels of flexibility and operational autonomy for each skid, with a communication network protected by industrial firewalls and secure and reliable management of data traffic between the various intelligent controllers using the PROFIsafe protocol.
Challenge
