Righi was responsible for the design and supply of 46 switchboards for the management and control of 23 medium voltage diesel-powered emergency motors. The system was designed to guarantee the automatic and synchronised start-up of the emergency units in the event of the main grid being disconnected, ensuring operational continuity in highly critical industrial environments. The intervention included the development of the automation software, the complete configuration of the auxiliary systems and the integration with the existing supervision infrastructure, ensuring functional consistency and compatibility with the general control architecture.
Challenge
The main requirement was to ensure an extremely reliable emergency power supply system, capable of being activated automatically and promptly in the event of a power failure or blackout. Robust, high-performance switchboards had to be developed to ensure perfect coordination between the diesel engines, local controls and the central automation system, in accordance with international standards.
