Righi Solutions acquires CMI Srl: the Group grows in industrial automation and expands into Piedmont
Righi Solutions completed the acquisition of CMI Srl on Wednesday, 30 September 2026. CMI is based in Magliano Alpi (Cuneo) and has been active since 1982 in the design, manufacture and installation of electrical panels, electrical systems and industrial automation solutions. With this acquisition, the Group now has more than 400 employees and takes a new step in its growth-through-acquisitions strategy.
CMI operates in technically complex sectors: primary industries (steel, glass, paper, food, chemicals), machine and plant manufacturing, environment and ecology, energy and infrastructure.
An integrated offering, from design to service
The addition of CMI significantly strengthens Righi Solutions’ ability to deliver integrated industrial automation solutions. Thanks to this acquisition, we will be able to support our customers throughout the entire plant lifecycle, from design to after-sales service.
CMI’s experience in electrical panel building and electrical systems complements the Group’s expertise. It also brings a new operational presence in Piedmont, even closer to businesses in north-western Italy.
Central coordination, local companies close to customers
The acquisition follows Righi Solutions’ organisational model. This model combines central coordination for direction and control with local companies that ensure speed and operational excellence. CMI will retain its own identity, team and know-how, while benefiting from the solidity and synergies of the entire Group.
