Advanced automation and revamping of legume storage silos
Revamping of the legume storage silo management system, with full integration of product traceability upon arrival, automated weighing, differentiated storage by product type, and automation of the extraction process from the silos.

Challenge
The client needed to modernize and automate the silo management system, while retaining part of the existing mechanical infrastructure. The key objectives were to:
- Ensure accurate traceability of product batches stored in the silos, in compliance with food safety and quality standards;
- Automate loading, unloading, and transfer operations to the freezing units, reducing manual handling inefficiencies and minimizing the risk of operational errors;
- Enable seamless bidirectional integration with the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to ensure smooth, synchronized, and transparent data flow across logistics and production;
Minimize downtime and reduce implementation costs through a targeted revamping strategy that leveraged existing assets while introducing advanced control and automation technologies.
Results / Benefits achieved by the customer
Revamping of the existing system, leveraging part of the original mechanical installation to modernize the production process and optimize overall performance—minimizing downtime and reducing capital expenditure.
Integration of the product traceability system within the silos, enabling fully automated loading, unloading, and transfer operations to the freezing units. The solution ensures bidirectional data exchange with the Warehouse Management System (WMS), providing efficient, accurate, and synchronized warehouse logistics management.
