Energy Solutions

Following a thorough analysis of the client’s needs, Righi designed and integrated an Industry 4.0 IoT platform into the traditional electrical infrastructure, managing the entire process—from design to implementation—to deliver an innovative, efficient, and future-ready solution.

The solutions provided included:

  • Detailed engineering design of the entire electrical and automation system;
  • Supply of electrical panels for power distribution and system control;
  • Installation of electrical systems serving all utilities related to the facility’s production processes (lighting, thermal systems, refrigeration, etc.);
  • Development of a centralized IoT platform for real-time monitoring and control, based on a Server + Client architecture, designed for enterprise-level interconnection and scalable for future expansions.

The platform is capable of managing the following systems in an integrated manner:

  • Energy consumption
  • Fire protection system
  • Lighting system
  • Refrigeration system
  • Thermal power station

Development of customized control software, tailored to the client’s operational requirements

Challenge

The client needed to enhance the energy and operational efficiency of their production facility by integrating advanced technologies for real-time monitoring, process digitalization, and performance tracking.. The objective was twofold:

  1. Obtain White Certificates (Energy Efficiency Certificates) by implementing recognized energy-saving measures, generating direct financial returns while improving the company’s environmental footprint;
  2. Centralize the management of plant data and systems to simplify operations, reduce waste, and ensure continuous oversight of system status—via a scalable infrastructure ready for future Industry 4.0 upgrades.

The main challenge lay in integrating new IoT technologies and advanced control software into an existing plant infrastructure, without disrupting ongoing operations, while ensuring regulatory compliance, functional safety, and long-term sustainability.

Results / Benefits achieved by the customer

Acquisition of White Certificates and improvement in operational and management efficiency through the implementation of a centralized platform for data collection and process supervision. The integrated management system enabled streamlined operations, reduction of energy waste, and real-time monitoring of the plant’s overall status and performance—supporting a more sustainable and resource-conscious operation.
